  From In Memorium, CMSI News Magazine, January 2002: "George Ransom Montgomery died September 14, 2001. He was a resident of Minot, North Dakota and a member of Clan Montgomery Society International (CMSI# 1799.) He was active in the Lutheran Church where he was a Sunday School teacher. He served in the 164th Infantry of the North Dakota National Guard. He was born on February 19, 1910 in Edna, Iowa, the son of James and Anna (Iseminger) Montgomery. The family moved to North Dakota in 1916. Mr. Montgomery was one of 6 sons and 2 daughters. He married Gladys Gilbertson on September 8, 1942 at Glasgow, Montana. All preceded him in death.... He is interred at Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, N.D."
